Flag Ceremony
Every Pack meeting begins and ends with a flag ceremony — and that's no accident. The flag ceremony is one of the simplest and most powerful things we do together as a pack. It asks Scouts to pause, stand tall, and show respect for something larger than themselves. For many of our Cubs, it's one of the first times they've been trusted with a meaningful responsibility in front of their peers and families. Carrying the colors, calling the room to attention, leading the Pledge — these are small acts that build real character. Over the course of a Scouting year, Scouts who rotate through flag ceremony roles develop confidence, poise, and a genuine sense of civic pride that goes far beyond the words of the Pledge itself. It connects them to a tradition shared by every Scout who came before them, and it sets the tone for everything that follows in the meeting: that what we do here matters, and that we show up ready to do it well.
