Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 972, proudly serving families in Portland, Oregon. We're a community of curious kids, dedicated volunteers, and supportive families united by one mission: helping young people grow into confident, kind, and capable individuals.

Our dens welcome scouts in kindergarten through fifth grade. We meet at Peace Lutheran Church in North Portland, so many of scouts attend schools in North and Northeast Portland like Beech, Ivy, King, and Sabin but Pack 972 scouts come from all over Portland! Each year, our scouts embark on an incredible journey — earning badges, building friendships, and discovering what they're made of along the way.

At Pack 972, we live the Scout Oath and Law not just as words, but as a way of life. We believe in doing our best, helping others, and leaving every place a little better than we found it. Whether it's a neighborhood cleanup, a food drive, or a kind word to a neighbor, our scouts are always looking for ways to serve the Portland community they call home.

And yes — we have a lot of fun doing it. From camping trips and pinewood derby races to model rocket launches and everything in between, there's always an adventure on the horizon for Pack 972. Here's a taste of some of the adventures Pack 972 gets up to throughout the year:
