Welcome to the Bears Den — one of the most adventurous years in Cub Scouting! Third graders in the Bear program take on bigger challenges, more exciting outdoor skills, and a growing sense of what it means to be a Scout.


Bear adventures include:
šŸŖ“ Outdoor skills — first aid basics, knot tying, fire building safety
šŸ”­ Science experiments and STEM projects
šŸŒŽ Citizenship and community service
šŸŽØ Art and creative expression
šŸ’Ŗ Physical fitness challenges
🐟 Nature activities including fishing and wildlife study


What to Expect This Year:
šŸ—“ Regular Pack and den meetings
šŸ• Pack campouts, Rain Gutter Regatta, Hiking and the Pinewood Derby
šŸ… Earning the Bear rank badge and adventure pins


What Parents Need to Know:

Most den meetings no longer require a parent participation, but we still encourage all Pack 972 families to stay involved and join us whenever they can!

šŸ‘– Uniforms
A cub scout shirt and belt is required to be worn at all Pack and Den meetings and events as well as all public facing events and outings.

šŸ† Candy Bar & Meat Stick Fundraising Coordinators
As part of scouting's emphasis on Service, the Bear families will organize the Pack's biggest fundraiser: Candy Bars & Meat Sticks! The Bears will handle the logistics. Learn more about the Fundraiser here.
