Welcome to the Lions Den ā the very first step in a Scout's journey with Pack 972! Lions are our youngest Scouts, and we are so excited to have your Kindergartener join the adventure.

š Arts and crafts projects
šæ Simple outdoor exploration and nature walks
š¤ Learning about being a good friend and helper
š¾ Animal and nature discovery
š¶ Songs, games, and group activities
ā¤ļø Introduction to the Scout Oath and Scout Law
What to Expect This Year:
š Regular Pack and den meetings
š Pack campouts, Rain Gutter Regatta, Hiking and the Pinewood Derby
š
Earning the Lion rank badge and adventure pins throughout the year
š Bridging up to Tigers at the end of the school year
What Parents Need to Know:
šØš»āš©š»āš¦š»āš¦š» Family Involvement
The Lion year is unique because a parent or guardian is required at every meeting and activity ā you are your Scout's partner! You get to be right there alongside your child for every moment.
No prior Scouting experience is needed. Your den leader will guide the program and let you know what's coming up. Just show up, have fun, and enjoy this special time with your Kindergartener!
š Uniforms
A cub scout shirt and belt is required to be worn at all Pack and Den meetings and events as well as all public facing events and outings.
š Spring Campout Coordinators
As part of scouting's emphasis on Service, the Lion families will host the Pack's Spring Campout at Camp Clark! Learn more about the Lion Family Service Commitment.
