Raingutter Regatta
š
September 3 ā Rain Gutter Regatta
š 6:00 PM | š Peace Lutheran Church
All hands on deck! The Rain Gutter Regatta is one of Cub Scouting's most beloved traditions. Scouts build and decorate their own small sailboats from recycled materials, then race them down water-filled rain gutters by blowing into the sails. No motors, no paddles ā just lung power and a little racing strategy!
Like the Pinewood Derby, it's a wonderful mix of creativity, craftsmanship, and friendly competition ā and since the "engine" is the Scout themselves, everyone has a real shot at victory.
Pack 972 hosts the Rain Gutter Regatta as a full pack event, so all dens are invited to participate. Families are encouraged to come cheer, and siblings are always welcome to join in the excitement. Whether your Scout is in it to win it or just loves getting a little splashed, this is a race day to remember!
